A logo is more than just a logo

Yes, a logo is much more than just a logo. What do I mean but that? Well, let me start by highlighting some of the things that a logo needs to do.


THINGS A LOGO MUST DO

  • A logo must reflect a personality that your audience what to connect with

  • A logo must be clear and easy to understand

  • A logo must have visual appeal

  • A logo must be paired with typography that is legible and fits the mood

  • A logo may or may not be a literal representation of what the business does

HOW CAN WE ENSURE A LOGO WORKS

  • Discuss and define the ideal client the business seeks to attract

  • Identity the personality the business wants to adopt

  • Determine the businesses uniqueness

  • Consider how lines and colours impact on psychology and perception

  • Work with someone who has years of experience unifying graphics, illustration and typographic elements in a way that feels seamless and natural
